Conservation Workshop
Our workshop restores icons, textiles and ethnographic objects for the Palace and for the parishes of the Syro-Iradi Catholic Church. Four conservators work here. Two of them trained in Italy with the support of foreign cultural foundations.
Many objects come to us after decades hidden in damp walls, cellars and caves. We clean, consolidate and stabilize them. We do not repaint.
For parishes and families
Parishes may bring icons, banners, vestments and books for assessment on Tuesdays, 10:00-13:00, by appointment. Assessment is free. Families who wish to give an object to the Palace should write to us first.
